I installed IE7 and had numerous problems, even loading my computer was difficult. I had to start in safe mode and then revert to settings previous to when i installed it. My computer worked fine then, so i tryed reinstalling it but the same thing happened. I have heard numerous stories along the same lines from numerous people. Dont touch it !! Its a flawed programme and has been reported as such by hundreds of people. Stick with your previous version. It does the job just as well.
Happy new year by the way.

I strongly suspect that you have downloaded it from Yahoo!, Their version is seemingly - how can I put this delicately - customised - to visit their sites at every possible opportunity. Its arrogant programming and gives the impression that they don't know the First Law of Websites - Your customers spend most of ther time online on other peoples' websites. Download it from Microsoft's website and all should be fine: I've been using IE7 for ages and (touch wood) have had no problems whatsoever. Mind you, I do use Firefox for all my "personal" browsing.;-)

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.

Stick with Internet Explorer 6. Internet Explorer 7 has problems with several other programs. I have no idea what Microsoft was thinking.
Yes, use IE6 for webpages that you know, but for general surfing into the UNKNOWN, you should try Mozilla FireFox. Visit http://www.mozilla.com This would be much safer.
Good luck and Happy Computing!

Before reinstalling - if that's what you were going to do, I would go to Tools - check to see if "work offline" is unchecked, then clear the browser history. Exit out of IE 7.0, then open it again. Try the other websites and see what happens. (I found that I had to do this at least 1 time when I just installed this browser). If that fails, then - I guess uninstall/reinstall...
Good luck!
