Alright, my sister leant me her digital quartz tuner, but I have no clue how to use it...The needle does not read on the 440 (the middle) it is pointing way out to the left with no numbers...How can I get the needle on the 440 so I can tune my guitar to the 440 scale?

If I understand your question correctly, all you have to do is tighten your strings. Turn the knob on the head of the guitar clockwise to make the string tighter. Do this while watching your tuner. When you come into range you will see the needle move. Slightly tighten and loosen the knob to change the tension for a precision tuning.

some tuners have a switch to select the string you're trying to tune. set it for that string ,(ex. A, B,E etc) and like the first answer given, turn the tuning peg on the guitar until the needle starts to move. the only 440 reading will be the 5th A string. the others are different. Does it use batteries?

Head for a music store, or find a guitar player! And they will help you with the tuner!
