Hi! Here in Romania, firework displays are legal (and plenty of them, too these days, what with New Year's Eve and the accession to the European Union). Firecrackers (small pyrotechnic devices which can be bought and used by ordinary individuals) just got banned this year.

Fountain fireworks and sparklers are legal here, but the illegal ones are always flying. Someone blows off a finger just about every year in the metropolitan area (DC, VA and MD).

but they are in a neighboring state. So we get them there. My friend had to work the weekend so we didn't get any for last night, but we did shoot off many during the summer on the beach.
