Iv'e been getting my nails done for quite a while so I couldn't bite them and I wanted them to grow...they're finally really long but I'm scared that if I get the acrylic taken off, that they will break. Do you know of anything I can buy, or have done to them that will make them look nice and be very strong? I mean REALLY strong and healthy.

diet has tons to do with how our hair and nails grow. I am sure the treaments mentioned above will work, but if you want another approach - If you want lasting results take fishoil capusuls (omega 3 fatty acids) and make sure to get protein - any vitamins that help the skin help the nails. This promotes overall health - your nails and hair show how well you body is able to do upkeep and to do upkeep it need nutrients that not all of us get easily. It may take a while but you will see results and results that will continue. Mine never ever break and grow very fast!

The acrylic will probably mess up your nails for a month or so but all you need to do is go to a good nail place and see if they have a brand of nail poish called 'HARD NAILS'. It comes in really pretty colors and will harden your nails. It also will cover up the damaged nail. Or you couls go to CVS or Walgreens and get some stick-on nails. The glue on them is really good and they will give your nails an oppurtunity to heal. Plus they will still look good. Good Luck!!!

Of course if you get them taken off they will be very week. You will have to cut them short and apply cuticle oil or olive oil a few times a day for a few months. Other nail strengthening products will eventually make them brittle and they will snap. by putting oil on it will strengthen them and make them flexible. You cannot miss a day without doing this, and i promise your nails will look fabulous in a couple of months.

Go to the drugstore a buy the color of Sally Hansens length and strength nail laquer.

sally hansen makes a nail polish for strength and growth of nails. Sold a drugstores.

you can put nail polish remover over ur nails. if u use a certain type of removier its good for ur nails
