The last leap year was 2004. It's every 4 years, so the next one is in 2008, after that, 2012, add four more years...so on and so forth...
Presidential election year in the US falls in the same year as leap year. So does the Summer Olympics.
No, I don't know anyone born on February 29th. (We get a February 29th every leap year). That's what happens in a Leap year. We get an extra day. 366 vs. 365.

The next leap year is 2008. Leap years occur on any year divisible by 4, except a century year which must be divisible by 400. The next few are 2012, 2016 and 2020.
I used to have a friend who was born on 29th February 1976 - he celebrated his birthday on 1st March most years.
