my child will be gay because we are ???!!!!! and what is "normal" how many straight couples have failed marriages and fail as parents... all of a sudden because im gay my child will be born gay and lead a unhappy life, I think you need to open your mind a bit and live in the real world, women dont NEED men they need sperm to reproduce and men in no way help to make that do they !!! Its easy to get a mans sperm it can be frozen for years ...!

its better for children to be brought up in a loving home no matter what youre sexuality is ,other than a home where the couple dont get along ,,,just because someone is gay do not make them bad people ,,,,im a straight person ,but if i was to turn gay ,i wouls still be the same person i am now ,just prefure to do things a little differently in the bed room department ,,,,,kids will grow up to be what they want to be ,how many kids have been taught things whilst growing up only to go off and do their own thing later ,,,,so it makes no difference ,as long as some one can give a kid a safe loving home ,i cant see a problem,,,,when you look at how some kids are suffering,,,,,wouldnt you rather see them happy ,no matter who brings them up ,,,good luck t you and well done at least i know you will love your children and do the best you can for them ,more than some people can say ,,,,,cos they slipped up and didnt want them ,,,,all th best kat

But I will say this: Lesbians in a gay marriage can have children by in vitro fertilization or through a sperm bank, or even adoption in some states. And there is no reason to think the child will be gay. This is a common misconception and if I were you, I'd ignore what people say about it. Good luck to you. You are right...just because you and your partner are gay does not mean your child will be. Look at how many gay/lesbian people have parents that are heterosexual. True women do not need men just their sperm, but I prefer a man. As long as you and your partner love and nourish your child and teach it right from wrong, and provide for it...that's all that matters. I could care less if you are gay or not and no one else should either. Just be a good parent and that is all that matters.

hey girl, don't worry about that kind of stupidity. Thats the crap that people have told themselves so they can be angry about something. They have no control over their own lives, so why not control somebody elses. If they let all worthy people adopt in this worldd (as they should) our world would be a much better place. Children would grow in a loving home, be a contribution to society, and overall expand the economies. But hey why make the world a better place when we can be angry bigots? Don't worry about those "people"

agree with your thoughts on being gay parents, i used to be very sceptical, for a very good (personal) reason but since someone was introduced into the family i have learnt alot about accepting people for who and what they are, whether the are gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, trans-gendered or australian.
but i have one small irk. you do need men how else are you gonna get sperm, women don't produce it. although i can say live and let live you still need us...............even if it is only for our little swimmers.

right. i was married for 4 years. i divorced my ex on unreasonable behaviour grounds. i raised my 2 children, a boy and a girl for 18 yrs.. and at the time i thought myself to be bi, i am now totally gay. so no straight can possibly tell me that if anyone is remotely or 100 percent gay, that the children will be. they speak crap. my daughter has made me a grandfather 4 times over. and my son once.

It rates right up there with the "Other children will pick on a child that has same-sex parents" answer, because they can't teach their children how to behave in a civilized manner and that means YOU shouldn't have a kid because theirs are little barbarians?

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh!!!! someone with some sense. my son is a 6'5 college basketaball player that i am very proud of and yes he was raised by myself and girlfriend along with 3 boys under him......if henry does not this,,,,children will look for thier MOTHER before they ask questions about dad....so what do we need you guys for?
