As long as the model name, CR2032, is the same, then yes, any brand will do.

RE:
Will any brand do, if I buy a replacement CR2032 battery for my CMOS chip?

Be careful. Some brands of CR2032 batteries are thinner than others and may not be a good fit in the battery connector.

Batteries, like most things are made to specific minimum standards. Thus everyone bought must be able to supply a certain voltage at a certain rate for a certain time. As with normal batteries there will be variations but as a CMOS battery will generally last for years anyway that should have little effect on the operation. if in doubt look for some kind of standard mark or name you recognise.

You will likely replace the whole before needing another new one.

It's always wiser to replace a battery with the correct model, but you might just get away with it in using the CR2025 instead of the CR2032. The difference is that the CR2025 is slightly thinner than the CR2032. You may need to place a piece of conductive material between the battery and the connection. Be aware though that if you do try this, there's always the chance that the conductive material will end up floating around your system ... possibly shorting out your motherboard. Play safe and go for the CR2025.

As long as the replacement battery is a CR2032 it doesn't matter if ifs energizer, everyday, duracell etc.

Yes. However, decent brand names are the usual suspects of Ever Ready, Duracell and Energiser, plus the less familiar but still perfectly reliable brands such as Vinnic and Varta.

I bought mine at WalMart, it's been in a year with no problem. Same model - but a lot less money than Radio Shack or someplace like that.
