Vince Young is a better version of Michael Vick, stronger and more elusive... and by far more passing skills

At this point, it's not even close. Michael Vick has accomplished much more with his team. Vince Young has been much better then people thought, but 2 of the games they won, they never scored an offensive touchdown. I'm not saying he's bad, but Vick has won some big playoff games, and is a veteran. Who knows in the long term who will be better, but Vince has a long way to go to catch Vick.

Vick has had time to prove he could lead a team and has failed. Young still has opportuinty to lead a team so it has to be wait and see. I understand your point, no team has won a SuperBowl with that type of QB. If a QB cant sit in the pocket and complete passes then come playoff time they always have been shut down. Both were winners in college (as is Troy Smith...this years "new model" you refer to) but I agree that winnig playoff and Super Bowl games it takes an ability to sit in the pocket, read defenses and make plays with your head and arm (not so much your legs). Here is a list of the Super Bowl winning QBs of the past 15 years...none of which with the exception of Elway was ever known to run with the ball (and Elway didnt win a SB until he quit scrambling all the time and relied on the cannon arm he posessed);
Roethlisberger
Brady
Warner
Elway
Brad Johnson
Favre
Dilfer
Aikman
I agree that no one man is responsible for a win or loss but some guys by their ability to manage a game make everyone around them better (Tom Brady being a perfect example...did anyone really think they could be a 12-4 team with the player loses they suffered and the receiving corp they currently have).

They both run a lot, so we really can't say who is the better QB because they don't pass a lot. But earlier in the season Vick was doing great and I've seen Vince Young play in college and I know he has the arm. Both are equally matched.

Vince Young -- The Titans finshed 8-8 in a real conference (if the Titans were in the NFC, they would be IN as the 6th seed.
The Falcons and Vick are nothing but overrated. Can't even beat the Eagles with their starters out. 7-9 in the sucky NFC --- they would of gone 2-14 in the AFC.

No one could ever live up to the standards that were set for vick... the same thing will happen to everyone like him... you can't spend most of your time defending how you play, explaining why you don't fit the typical quarterback mold while trying to lead a failing organization and still win games... it just doesn't work.

i always been a fan of vick. but you have to say vince played better this year. does that make him the better qb? maybe when it's all said and done. who knows maybe all vick needs is a new coach or a new team.

I think Vince young has more natural talent and has some skills Vick doesn't. Vince needs much more experience, but I think he's going to turn out being a star.

Vince Young is exceptionally talented. With a few years' experience in the pros, he'll be hard to beat, especially if he stays with a superior coach like Jeff Fisher!

Vince. Still on the early side for him. But he brings a lil somethin' to the team that makes them play better.
