For Melanie5Marx:
I'm not sure exactly how my friend pulled off producing a production of Wicked without buyign copywrights last year. Although, my friend's mother is a copywright lawyer and I believe she helped my friend greatly. I am also pretty sure that they were only able to do it free of charge because of the relative "newness" of the musical. Since a year has passed, I'm not sure if that loophole would still apply.

There were many Germans who settled in the west of Russia in imperial times. For example Catherine the Great invited tens of thousands of German farmers to immigrate. Certainly it's rare to still have this German surname centuries later. I suppose you are descended heavily from the male side of the family who kept their last name. But it's nothing unusual. There are many Russians named Rudich and so on. You can also use your middle name or Russianize your surname when you come of age. This is also what people have been doing for centuries.

I think that you are doing this for a play or a novel. My recommendation would be to pick a last name that has meaning appropriate to the character of the person in the play. If you post more insight, I will gladly brainstorm on this.

the watergate scandal was an isolated event that had nothing to do with anyone but the people involved. the liberals will be exposed for using lies and calling their president a mass murder for cheap political gain--thats the difference my ignorant friend.
please dont answer a question that is clearly above your pay grade, its a waste of time.

also, you answered one of my questions about a month ago saying that you knew someone who put on Wicked for free admission. If you could give me more information about that it would be greatly appreciated.

If it's a female character, it will end in 'a'.
