I've seen riders rding around with their helmets attached to the rear side of their sportbikes via the cowl. Is this some kind of lock mechanism? I want one so I can lock my helmet to my bike without having to carry it. I always where my helmet when riding.

Look for a tab under the seat that you can hook the helmet strap.

All bikes have a way to lock your helmet to the bike. But don't use the helmet lock when riding your bike. Your bike and helmet will get scratched up and it's dangerous. Your helmet could get sucked into the rear wheel. Use a "bungee net" to secure your helmet to the rear seat when riding.
