There is a bigfoot museum in Felton California, which is about four miles from where I live and grew up. I had noticed it but never paid much attention because I figured it was a tourist trap. Then I saw an article in the local paper and someone at the museum was saying that local legend has it...big foot sightings locally...blah blah blah... A bunch of crap. Around here anyway. If there were bigfoot sightings in this area years ago, I would have heard about it growing up. I don't know if bigfoot is real or not, and unless I'm destined to meet him in the deep dark woods someday I don't really care. But that museum in Felton, full of crap.

There are plenty of possible bipedal fossil species that may have survived to present. To assume gigantopithecus which is known by a few teeth and jaw fragments represents bigfoot cannot be known. Gigantopithecus does prove that a giant hominoid is possible. Bigfoot has a mountain of evidence for its existence from old legends, foot prints, casts of other body parts, hairs, scat, calls, smells, potential fossil evidence, thousands of reported sightings and other evidence.
