Alcohol brings out the worst in people. Some people are just prone to abuse and the alcohol just brings it out. When someone has been drinking, you are not seeing the same person that you see when they are sober. When you drink a persons whole chemistry changes. That's really the best way to judge someones character, when their under the influence.

Eventually, the abusive behavior will show when the person is sober.
