Father Of The Industrial Revolution

It is certainly true that the invention of the steam engine propelled and advanced the industrial revolution, but it wasn’t the cause. Nor could the cause be awarded to a single individual, rather, a number of things came together in Great Britain which provided a foundation and fertile bed for what would become the industrial revolution.

The Industrial Revolution was the major shift of technological, socioeconomic and cultural conditions in the late 18th and early 19th century that began in Britain and spread throughout the world. During that time, an economy based on manual labor was replaced by one dominated by industry and the manufacture of machinery. It began with the mechanization of the textile industries and the development of iron-making techniques, and trade expansion was enabled by the introduction of canals, improved roads and railways. The introduction of steam power (fuelled primarily by coal) and powered machinery (mainly in textile manufacturing) underpinned the dramatic increases in production capacity.[1] The development of all-metal machine tools in the first two decades of the 19th century facilitated the manufacture of more production machines for manufacturing in other industries.

This has nothing to do with people wanting to conquer others. If anything it is the expanding of individual freedom by opening the capability of the individual to control their own life.

I suggest that the mother of invention was sparked by the will of man to conquer one another. The father of industrial revolution was the first person to mass produce a weapon that consistently worked to this end. In my theory the 1'st war of ancient old is where the "1'st industrial revolution began! Anything after is nothing more than improvement upon this concept. If you mean the father of the AMERICAN Industrial Revolution, then it was Samuel Slater.
He is given this credit due to building the first successful textile mill in Pawtucket Rhode Island in 1793.
