You gotta let that stuff go. Even though it keeps popping in the mind you gotta stay busy and try to refocus on other things while you heal from tragic events.

Like so many others I have had more than 2 tragedies in my life. Let go and let God. When it comes back, I pray. I try to find the lesson I'm suppose to learn from it. Yes I have some that keep creeping back and I still pray and try to busy myself with better memories. I have been down the bitter road and it's no fun, try really hard to take another route.

I had 2 tragedies, first my mom passed away then 3 days later my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer and he too passed away 2 months later, it took me 7 years to accept what had happened in my life, I was in a negative frame of mind until I bought some self help books, since March of last year I have been a different person, am positive in my outlook, my self confidence have returned, sure I still think of my loved ones, but I think of the good things I have in life at the present and let the past come and go, without the past there would be no present or future.

Possibly these 2 tragedies were very wrong, and have clearly caused you much pain in life and the pain has not left you, as your question makes clear; you still hurt inside because of his wrongdoing.
That's why the real issue you face is this: How will you get over these hurts from your past? Sin has produced a tragic harvest of anger and bitterness in your soul, and they're like a poison that will only make you miserable if you don't get rid of them. Not only will it prevent you from being happy, but it also will harm your relationships. The Bible warns, "See to it ... that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many" (Hebrews 12:15).
It isn't easy to get over the pain of what others did to us, especially if it's from when we were young. But listen: God doesn't want you to be enslaved by the past! He loves you, and (unlike your earthly father) He wants to help you and bring healing to your heart and mind and soul.
Begin life again by turning to Christ and committing your life—including your hurts—to Him. Then ask Him to help you forgive those who may have hurt you. No, they doesn't deserve it—but then we don't deserve God's forgiveness, either. Forgiveness isn't easy, but it will help bring healing to your soul.

To get over tragedy, think about your blessings. No matter how bad things are, there are tons of good things going on all around you all the time. Get a book from the "self-help" section of a bookstore to help you out.

Your story is what you say it is. If you say, "I had two tragedies and I'm bitter forever" then you will be. You have the choice to say otherwise. Counseling would probably help A LOT, so try it.

If you've experienced tragedies, it's NOT the fault of other people. They are not to blame for your problems.
That is one of the problems of society. People take their frustrations out on those who have nothing to do with it.

3 of my friends killed themselves
1 of them i witnessed kill themself infront of me when i was 13
i deal with it by just having friends and if they have trouble i try my best to help them, of course it comes back to me almost everyday i think about what i saw that day i was with my friend but i throw it out of my mind by listening to music or having fun with my friends. it took me years to finally stop blaming myself all the time about all my friend's deaths and move on but it will never go away and the sooner you relise that the sooner youll be better
