If your problem is the outside of the windshield, then you can clean with an alcohol/water mix. You can also try some AMMONIA cleaner, use old newspapers to clean and dry afterward. GOOD LUCK.

Difference of temperature inside the car verse's the outside. Could also be a build up of road crud. Oils and such causing it to be milky.
Clean real well with a strong window cleaner, inside and out. They make a liquid to prevent the inside from steaming up.

has someone smeared chicken fat or similar grease on screen .(glass is phorious) or is the lamination between the glass on the windscreen becomin cloudy due to damp and deteration with age

If you drive on interstate highways, you have a build-up of diesel exhaust from the trucks. Vinegar will cut it right off the glass.
Ammonia works well too!

Try some RainX you can but it at autozone or walmart or Kmart
it works good

you have an oil film on your windshield. clean it good and don't follow cars that smoke a lot, following for 1 or 2 minutes will leave a pretty good film on it

sounds like scratched from road film and wiper use. window may have to be replaced if you can't see out . good luck
