Comcast email?

I am being charged way to much for internet access. My wife and daughter have their email accounts at comcast.net. Is there any way to dump the the greedy comcast vultures but still keep or forward the email addresses?

Send out a general email to all your contacts letting them know that your email address has changed and create free email accounts on yahoo, where it doesn't matter who your service provider is, you can still access your emails.
