I try to get internet on psp at stores and malls, but it always sais IP adress search timed out HELP!?

Lol, I try to do this too, I try it at restaurants too. Most of the time they have a security code so you can't use it. So that might be your problem

That just means that it "timed" itself out because it was searching for so long, which in turn means that there isn't any wireless network avaiable in that area. Try in an electronics retailer like Best Buy, Circuit City, or any other these normally have one.
