Like, home computers, what is the percent of people who use each type of computer? Do you know where I can find a chart or graph or something? Thanks!

This number changes each year and is very hard to pin down. As of last time I checked the numbers where something like:

Windows - 91%
Mac - 3-4%

I am not sure about linux because it can be duel booted along with windows (and now that Mac is Intel, Windows and Linux can be run on a mac). I will see if I can find more exact numbers.

Many users track operating systems, specifically to make sure they target operating systems in the correct orser of use. For example, if you are writing a program that you want to sell, you better target the correct group of users to insure the highest sells.

The most wide used amony people, at least in the U.S., is Windows by Microsoft. The percentage of people using apple isn't that great when compared to Windows.
