Depends on how complex of a animation you are talking about. Simple; you can use flash if you have the cash. no pun intended. 3D animation then you can use Blender its free, and many of the things that go along with it are free also. To animate movie along with adding 3D effects to it, use the 3D Max Software drom AutoDesk.

well ypu don't really have to have software...you can go to powerpoint and make each slide doin whatever it is you want it to do...and the best part is you can upload whatever it is you want from different parts of the computer if u have saved animations to your computer....i made 1 b4...the only problem you would have is getting it saved to a dvd form...you might want to try and experiement and get iMovie or iDVD and insert from file and save your powerpoint to your computer and insert your animation to iDVD or iMovie and then you will be able to burn it...just make sure u r using DVD burners....if u need better understanding then im me or email me and i'll explain it better....what kind of computer are you using?? it depends solely on that....
