maybe its because you are very young and think it's cute.

It is also used in the lesbian community, specifically in leather community or some Master/slave relationships to denote a female submissive or slave that identifies as male. All the ones I have seen are small in stature and dress like boys.

I don't use the word at all. Even with an age difference referring to someone as a "boi" is disrespecting their age, similar to calling someone a child.

so it seems and despoite what one responder said, it isn't an attempt at anything other than trying to be cute. Just that overuse makes it ridiculous so use it sparingly.

probally, but its a word most frequent among queer/les/bi/trans females. but since they are ni the same community the lingo seems to run to everyone
