Most local bars in developing countries do not card patrons. If you have money then you can drink. Techinically, it is illegal yet bar owners bribe the local police to look the other way.

The legal age here in México for buying beer and going into a disco is 18, but of course, that is only for the Mexicans, a lot of underage guys from the States or other countries get in easily because one: they are taller than the Mexicans, and they don't look their age, and second: because they have dollars, so since the law doesn't apply to anybody else but Mexicans, I'm sure you wont have any problems at all, specially in Spring Break.
Happy 2007!!★

I have never seen them 'card' anyone in Mexico, but I have heard of it happening very infrequently. 18 is the legal age anyway so you have nothing to worry about.

some places do, but it doesn't matter anyway since 18 is the legal age for everything, just bring your id.
just remember if some guard in a club asks for your id and you don't have any, act as any American and they usually let you through

18 IS THE LEGAL DRINKING AGE I AGREE WITH MOST OF THE COMMENTS MADE FROM EVERYONE ELSE AT. CORNER STORES DON'T CARD YOU ,NOR SMALLER BUSINESSES. THE ONLY PLACES I'VE BEEN CARDED WAS AT CLUBS.
A WORD OF ADVISE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DRINK UNATENDED OR WITH A STRANGER IF YOU GO TO THE BATHROOM [ pray you don't have to] TAKE YOUR DRINK WITH YOU.WATCH OUT FOR SEDUCTIVE WOMEN!!!!!!!!!
