Yahoo music jukebox is the easiest one I have found. Click and drag your songs into a playlist and when you have the ones you want, click the down arrow next to actions, select transfer to portable and choose your device from the list. Simple.

this is simple!
1) go to itunes
2) go to File>Add Folder to Library (or File. Depends on wheather you want to add just one song or an album)
3) Expand 'My Documents' in the window that pops up.
4) Expand 'My Music'
5) Browse artists' albums by expanding artists
and then that will transfer the Windows music to itunes music
after that, just highlight all the music you want and drag it into your ipod

You don't even have to use the "Import" function on iTunes. You can also go to Windows Explorer (the file tree not the internet program) and open the file folder that your Mp3's are in and drag and drop them into iTunes all at once. iTunes will do the rest. Just open iTunes and Explore at the same time. It took my computer all of about 5 minutes to import 12gb of musice into iTunes. I wouldn't however recommend using the "consolidate library" function in iTunes.

You have to use iTunes. Only the music player iTunes can sync music with an iPod. Download it off of www.itunes.com then add all of the music files to you iTunes library (when you first use iTunes if will ask you if you would like to import music into your library, it will search your computer for files then automaticlly add them to you library, hope this helps Brodster.
