I am a plus size girl (size 18) and I bought a black button up blouse from Old Navy. I tried it on when I got home and it is long. A little below my butt. How should I wear it?! It looks kind of funny with jeans...or maybe I think it looks funny! It is a thin black button down shirt, a little slimming in the waist area. Im not a very dressy-up person, so I want it to look semi casual and don't want to take it back! Any ideas fashion-savvy gals out there. Serious answers only PLEASE!!

black shirts always lok cute with dark jeans...not black jeans just some dark jeans...i know that target has the mossimo brand for cheap and they are REALLY cute and slimming! and also i was watching the what not to wear show and they was a woman and they were picking ouit some long plus size shirts and giving her a
belt that fits between the breast and hips..(around bellybutton area) and it made her look so much thinner

I think a shirt like that would look nice with jeans and some nice black shoes. You could even dress it up a little and put a silver belt around your waist onto of the shirt. Long shirts will make your body look longer, not short.

I can only think that dark jeans would look the best, with black boots or heels. If you wear any type of dressy pants I would wear white with black shoes or gray. Don't wear black pants because you will look like you are going to a funeral. Hope it helps a little!

Since it's long you could wear it with a pair of denim capris or cuffed jeans. You could belt it at the waist and wear it with grey or wool pants. You could wear it under a canvas blazer with dark wash, flare jenas. You could wear it with straight leg jeans tucked into flat boots. You could wear it half open with layered tanks and leggings. You could also wear a trendy loose v-neck cardigan sweater coat or an oversize vest. Or you could get it tailored to be shorter. If you just want to make it look shorter and have better proportion, aim for something shorter on bottom. (Like I said before, capris or a skirt.) Also, long is good! LOngers hirts make you look taller and slimmer! Hope that helps! =)

Wear it with a nice pair of jeans and boots or flats and pair it with a big belt. Or, if it's button up, put a cami on underneath it and just ditch the belt. That's what I would do. :-)

I would try wearing a white vest thats not too loose, make sure it's snuggly fit.It won't matter that the shirt is long, the length of the shirt will excenuate your waistline, making you look thinner!! I really hope this helps! <33

it depends on what type of girl u are, are u a prep, if so, grey leggins whould probably look good. if u are more of a tomboy go with jeans. with either i would suggest black ballet flats for shoes.
