How do I wash the sand I use for my hermit crabs? I don't want to throw it out and buy new everytime.

After washing the sand like the first person posted you can bake it at a low temp or set in the hot sun.

It is cheaper to buy a larger bag of sand at a builders place like Home Depot or Lowes. A larger bag is like $5.
