Well If your pretty good right now you should know what you need to work on.

defense-It's nothing more than being in shape and being instinctively aggressive. You can't teach aggressiveness.

Dribbling-There are a million drills to help you get better at dribbling but once again you have to know what your trying to get better at Timing,Crossovers,Behind the back, threw the legs,Speed, precision, fundamentals, ect.

Offensive-Is more the coach then anything

So specify what you want to get better at and maybe someone could give you good advice ;)

Attend any basketball camps that you can. Try to get on an AAU team, you'll learn a ton from the other players and coaches. AAU is a whole different level of play than high school basketball, if you're good/lucky enough to make a team it'll only make you a better player. I know you may think this sounds crazy but if you're a girl (which I believe you are) than you should try to play with boys at pick-up games on the courts or if you're just messing around in your school gym, My daughter grew up with 2 older brothers, 3 boy cousins, and 2 neighbor boys. We also had her atttend basketball camps and clinics (her choice...we've never forced her to do anything she didn't want to do...) She just loves the game. She started playing Varsity Basketball in the 8th grade,as a starter. Alot of times we've had to tell her to come inside from the backyard,,,practicing late into the night, playing in the rain,etc...She plays AAU and I'm just amazed at her improvement and that level of play. She's a sophomore now and leads the team in all stats (although she is a very unselfish player) We live in Po-Dunk so her only access to recruiters is through the AAU channels as she plays throughout the Country against the best players around. I hope this helps you, sports are a wonderful medium in molding a persons' character. I coach our schools JV girls Basketball team and our Boys' Varsity Baseball team. I not only try to make them better athletes but also better people. My Philosiphy is Academics first, then repect, responsibility, and of course to have fun, remember it's still just a game and all should play and all should have fun. Again, good luck to you hope to catch you in the WNBA someday!! But remember good grades will get you where you want to go quicker!!
