Hey there,

This is like asking someone, "what is the best underware?" Boxers, briefs, none. :) There isn't a right answer.

It all depends on what you want to do with it and what you put into it.

For my money, if I have a blank check, I have to really consider if I want a laptop or a desktop. You get MUCH more bang for your buck with a Desktop. All things being equal, the best laptop out there isn't close to the best desktop.

So, you really want a laptop. I have owned Toshiba, Sony, IBM, Dell and HP over the past 5 years. BY FAR, the best laptop and the one I am most attached to is my IBM/Lenovo. My Dell and HP are newer than my IBM but I have had VERY little problems with it. My 5 year old IBM is faster than my 2 year old HP. They are just built better.

I have had only 2 experiences with IBM support. Both times it was my issue. Within 30 seconds I was talking to a live ENGLISH SPEAKING person. Sorry Kaseem from india, you SUCK!

Always remember, you get what you pay for.

Hope this helps.

Tom
