That is exatly what happens to me. Don't worry, just try to ignore them. You are exactly correct the sterotype of a man is a big tough man that likes all sports and lots of other... well i wont mention. Just ignore them, be what you are and ot what other people what you to be.

No, not liking football does not make you a girlie-man. It just means that you're not a football fan and that you have other interests. The next time your friends make fun of you about it, ask them if they think that a girl who likes football is a he-she. I'm a girl who is a big Carolina Panthers and LSU Tigers fan, but I'm definitely not a he-she: I'm just about as straight as straight gets.
I also have some advice for you: Don't believe or follow stereotypes. Sure, there's a majority and minority in every statistic, but you don't have to be part of the majority all the time. People who follow every trend and stick with the majority every time are boring people. I sum it all up like this: Be yourself-even actors cannot truly become their characters.

This is not true at all. I don't think there is anything wrong with a man that doesn't like Football or an other sports. It's a matter of yoru preference, and there is no rule that sataes all Men must like Football, just like there is no rule that states your not a good Woman if you can't cook. Never mind those people that hate on you for having your own mind!

Your friends are stupid- that makes them less men- sorry for that of course. The fact that one is man is measured by other factors and not by watching football or reading playboy. If all the guys that loved football were real man than world would be saved!

I think hiking up to Half Dome takes a lot more fortitude than watching football games all day long

No, it doesn't make you less of a man. Not all men like to watch wrestling, not all men like to watch football and not all men like to hike or be outdoors. Everyone has different interests.

Not at all...I'll take the outdoors with the one I love over football any day! A real man is defined by what is in his heart, not by what sports he likes :)

no it doesnt make you any less of a man. it just means that you are in to different things. thats cool...what really counts is who you are. who cares if you dont like football? you are your own unique person and dont listen to your guy friends make fun of you. it sounds manly that you like to hike and go outside. at least you are active and arent a coach potato who watches football and eats.....LOL. jk =] but ya. it doesnt matter...be yourself.
