Well most Palm Pilot's come with a Mini WLAN or PCI card built in, so you should be able to connect anywhere there is a wireless network connection in range, if you have one an are asking this question I would suggest reading through the manual or at least the section on internet to see what you have to do, if you are planning to buy one ask the electronic reps. vauble on day of purchace they should be happy to answer any and all questions.

Well, if your handheld PC accesses the internet through WLAN, you need a wireless router. These allow you to connect to the internet wirelessly with devices such as a PSP, laptop, PS3, X- Box 360, or desktop PC, and your palm pilot. The cable you have for connecting to the internet on your PC, you connect to the back of the router, although you will have to purchase a wireless USB key for your desktop PC. Set up the network according to your manual for your router, and set the SSID to what the router is set to. The more expensive the router, the better the range. Just be careful to add security to your connection, or others can pick up your signal as well, depending on the range it has.

You would need a wireless network and some sort of connectivity to the Internet or hosts you want to share information with.

In a home network that would mean purchasing a wireless router of some sort, like a Linksys or D-Link and having either DSL or Cable Modem that connects to the Internet.

You will also need to program the palm with the key codes to access the wireless network.

Have Fun.
