Well I know for a fact that a dwarf father can have a normal height daughter. Also if the father was sick as a child or had a kidney transplant before reaching his full height the daughter can be taller. Height is mainly about the inherited genes, although there can be mutations. Being as much as 20% of the population may not know their true biological parent. Many a daughter may be taller than her "dad".

The figures suggest that each generation is about 2" taller than the average of both parents. So, if both parents were 5'8", you could expect the daughter to be taller, yes.

I was taller than my dad but he was kinda short anyway .. I hope not though as i have 4 daughters and their father is 6ft 4 ...

although it isn't common, daughters do have a chance of growing taller than their fathers.
height always depends partly on your genes, and partly on many other factors, such as whether you have a healthy diet.
Tall parents usually have tall children and short parents will tend to have short children,usually but not always.
Several different genes, as well as other non-genetic factors, influence height: it's an example of complex inheritance.

I dont think so, but i think in some cases its in the gene pool. My dad is 6ft and im only 5ft 5 and i will never grow taller than him...

depends on the height of the mother and other relatives. i am 1/2 inch taller than my dad and 1/2 inch shorter than my mum!

I don't think you can tell, as some of my friends are taller though not by much. Yet the rest are smaller as am I.

I never did, my sisters didnt either.
But my daughter has grown4 inches in the last year or so, and shes only about 3 inches shorter than her dad now, so she may do one day.
