Wow. No one has said "Because there is a communication breakdown between partners." Most of you are saying "It's all the mans fault." The woman is "nagging" because the man isn't doing what he is told to do. Have any of you tried thinking of why he doesn't want to do the things your asking him to do? Have you communicated with him to find out why he doesn't want to help around the house? Are you asking in his language or yours? I keep saying this over and over. The five love languages work. http://www.fivelovelanguages.com/ My wife and I have never ben more happy. I do laundry, take out the garbage and do dishes all the time and in return my wife plans crazy fun hot evnings. She actualy gets all hot and turned on and I end up getting fantastic sex. If folks would just stop pointing fingers about who's fault it is and start speaking to each other in the way there partner would like to be spoken to and perhaps excepting there share of the problem I think they might just be better off.....But who the hell am I?

Ask HIM what would be the alternative. If you make a chore list they ignore it. If you ASK, they postpone it. If you give them a dead line,THEY turn into the moaner. Ask him if a list would help. Ask him if he has an idea as to let him know what needs to be done. See what he says. Then try it his way. Even though you know it probably won't work. But hey. If it doesn't then you can just say to him, gee. That didn't work either. Point this out to him. You might also think about how much his mother had to yell at him to do things. Tell him his mom probably wouldn't have yelled at him as much if he would have listened.....but only if he is the kind that complains that his mom always yelled at him. Make him think hard about it. Or say things like.....before I have to become a "NAG" about this, maybe you should..... See if that makes him wake up at all. I doubt it will. Tell him nagging is a result of NO RESULTS. good luck.
A nag is an old workhorse. Tell him a workhorse can't get the job done is the stupid farmer doesn't get up off his a** and help.

I'm thinking they are hoping to wear you down.
Many women claim men are not listening. What I think the real problem is is not that we are not listening, but when we answer, they don't like the answer, so they claim they have to go over the same issue over and over again.
Why?
Because they are unable to accept the answer you've already given, and are hoping to manipulate or wear you down until you give the answer THEY want to hear.
Until you say exactly what THEY want to hear, you haven't communicated, you are uncaring, etc.
Much of nagging is manipulation. Attempting to make you feel bad because you gave an unpopular answer.
So it's simply an attempt to control and/or manipulate.
Look at how many of the women here have claimed that men don't do things right when they say it the first time. That sounds like they are claiming that their timetable and preferences are more important than yours are.
Then, many of these folks are citing that marriage is cooperation, but ironically, the techniques the often employ, nagging, are exactly the opposite of cooperation, and then they project the lack of cooperation on the man who is suffering under her non-cooperative tactics.
Ahh, the irony of it all.

I don't know one woman who loves to nag, in fact, we complain to each other that we wish there were a way to handle things without the nagging. Sometimes I struggle with this, I have to stop myself and try to think of a more positive and creative way to get what I want. Most men are not people pleasers, but women are, that's why when a man asks a woman to do something (like fix his favorite cake) she will do it, but when a woman asks a man to take out the garbage, he won't do it unless he gets a great reward or he gets tired of hearing her nag.

Face it, most of us are naggers by the definition of the word. But then we "nag" because most men dont listen the first time !
Nagging to me is going over the same issue again and again. We would not have to do this if the men would just listen the first time and handle the situation. If they would do this then we would not have to bring it up again.
But most men have to be told or reminded several times and when we have to do this they consider it "nagging"

I don't think any woman really loves to nag however, nagging usually is a sign that the person feels like they are not being heard out. you know, listened to. (especially if the tone tends to get louder).

to pick a fight.they don't have anything better to do.if women are not in control they are not happy.if women had a harder job or a hobby they wouldn't have time to nag.blowing husbands money on shopping don't count.
women want to be the center of attention 24-7.it doesn't matter where you go.yes,I'm a women and i see it all the time and it makes me pure sick.
why nag?just be good to your man and treat him with respect,my goodness they do most of the supporting in the household.(bring the money in to pay for all the finer things in life for the spoiled women)

Because men don't do what you ask the first time you ask. It is petty to nag, but it is also ridiculous to have to ask your husband and remind him 50 freaking times to get something done. So they turn us into nags when they don't do what they say they will.

Many women nag, not all...
Women nag because men often don't do what they are asked to do
So the woman keeps asking until it gets done...

Men are hardheaded, they listen to what they wanna hear. They dont pay attention to a thing you tell them, until the problem gets outta control then they wanna listen or expect you to fix it... i love nagging while pregnant.. but any other time i tell him once if he doesnt get it then, then thats his loss!
