It's not uncommon to feel itchy, particularly around your growing belly and breasts as your skin stretches to accommodate them. Hormonal changes may also be partly to blame.

Some pregnant women find that their palms and the soles of their feet get red and sometimes itchy. This common condition may be caused by an increase in estrogen. It usually disappears right after delivery.

You may also find that things that normally make you itchy — dry skin, eczema, food allergies — make you even itchier when you're pregnant. Finally, there are certain conditions that occur during pregnancy that may cause you to feel itchy
How can I get relief from the itching?
Avoid hot showers and baths, which can dry out your skin and make the itching worse. Use mild soap and be sure to rinse it off well and towel off lightly. Then slather on an unscented moisturizer — some scents can cause irritation.

Try an occasional warm oatmeal bath. (You can buy oatmeal bath preparations in drugstores.) Wear loose cotton clothing and avoid going out in the heat of the day, since heat can intensify the itching.

Your skin does get very dry when you're pregnant, that can cause itchiness. Use some nice lotion.

Also, in my family, hives run in pregnancy for the first trimester. Thats how my relatives all knew they were pregnant... lol. They broke out in hives instead of having a period.

Alot of people say its not normal to be itchy all over. I know when i was pregnant with my last child I was always itchy. Expecially on my belly. If you are itchy all over tho it could be dry skin. I would see you dr if it is bothering you to much tho.

oh yes! i am 6 months pregnant and my stomach itches all the time. it's just from the stretching of the skin. i have had this with all three of my pregnancies. if it is really bothersome or is accompanied by a rash consult your doctor.

yes. I found Gold Bond powder to be the best thing for that and keep using your coco butter to keep your skin from getting very dry, leading to more itchiness and stretch marks

Yes its normal its because your skin is stretching and making room for your baby. If you keep alot of lotion and baby oil on you wont get stretch marks.
