Because Ford died, some say that schools will be closed on January 2nd to honor him. Is it true?

My sister's school still starts on the 2nd. My friend's school went until the Thursday before Christmas, so he doesn't go back until next week anyway. In some places schools will be closed, but not everywhere. Most schools don't give days off in honor of dead presidents, but you never know. If your school is going to be closed, they'll announce it on the local news probably today and almost certainly tomorrow morning (if you live someplace that gets snow, it would be the same idea as a snow day). Also check your school's website if you have one, or the local newspaper. If the school bus doesn't come, that would also be a really good hint that the school is closed :)

It really depends on the school district. My daughter's school resumes on Jan. 3, but it was scheduled that was all along instead of being changed for the Ford memorial.

Well i dont.You should call your school or call 311.I hope school is closed to honor Ford for all the great things he did for us as a president.

maximum faculties are closed in simple terms for the recent 3 hundred and sixty 5 days's trip. maximum government workplaces would be closed for the mourning of Ford yet Banks and different similiar businnesses will stay open.

I don't think so --unless individual school systems choose to do so. If it was all over the country it would have been in the paper.
It didn't happen when Ronald Reagan died, so I don't expect it to happen now.
