I'm generally into fiction or fantasy.
I've read the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers, all the books by Tamora Pierce, and the Dark Angel series by Meredith Ann Pierce.
Mystery is good too.

I haven't read much fantatsy-just C.S. Lewis and Tolkien, which I loved.

As far as fiction goes, here are a few favorites of mine:
Thurday's Child by Linda Chaiken, which I am currently reading. A young newly web suspects her husband is a Nazi. Very suspenseful historical fiction.

Jamiaca Inn by DuMaurier-a very dark suspense novel about a young woman who is basically held prisoner in her uncle's inn.

The Day of the Storm by Pilcher-a young woman goes looking for her long estranged relatives after her folks die. A British novel filled with beautiful descriptions and characters that are interesting.

Little Women-based on the author, Lousia Alcott's, childhood. Four sisters grow up during the Civil War.

A Room of My Own by A. Tatlock-a teen girl learns a lot during the great depression from her wonderful father's example.

A Walk to Remember by N.Sparks-a young girl with cancer experiences her first romance and changes the lives around her.

Treasure of Hemlock Mountain by Virginia Frances Voight-a romance and mystery about a spoiled girl who grows up while on summer vacation. It's out of print, but you might find it at your library.

In trying to find something to occupy my time until the newest installment of Harry Potter, I stumbled across the Sookie Stackhouse, Southern Vampire series by Charlaine Harris. At first I thought it was kind of silly, but in the last two weeks, I've read all 6 in this series. I'm looking forward to her May 2007 release of her 7th.

If you're interested, the first book in the series is "Dead Until Dark".

Three years Among the Comanches- Nelson Lee. Narrative story of a Texas Ranger who was captured by Indians and held prisoner for 3 years, around 1850 or so. Gruesome account of Indian atrocities to white settlers, and details his narrow escape. I found this at edwardrhamilton.com, a good source for inexpensive books.

I don't know those authors or series but I do know if you go to amazon.com ~ go to books ~ enter the name of a book and scroll the the bottom of the page. There will be a section that will say : Customers who bought this item also bought. I have used this as a reference several times. Hope this helps.

There's a new medieval fantasy series in hardcover that you might like. The title of the first episode is THE BLACKGLOOM BOUNTY. It's 445 pages of action, adventure, magic, mystery and mayhem. If you're a fan of Conan, LOTR or Wheel books, this is one you'll enjoy. A Hollywood producer said it was, "Like Braveheart meets Lord of the Rings." (See other comments & reviews below.)

Publishers Weekly said in a rare STARRED Review:

"A fast pace, sly humor, amusing dialogue and a richly researched background lift Baxley's fantasy, the first of a new series set in medieval Britain. When Merlin's long-ago apprentice Kruzurk Makshare (aka the Boozer) receives a dreamlike visitation from the legendary mage, he learns he must destroy another former apprentice, the villainous Seed of Cerberus. To do so will require a visit to the demon-guarded Blackgloom Keep. Enter young Daynin McKinnon, who discovers a curious rune-covered headstone, which may be the fabled Blackgloom Bounty, and brings it to Kruz's attention. Kruz believes it will provide entry into the fortress, while Daynin hopes the sale of the stone will restore his family's fortunes. The colorful cast of good guys and ne'er-do-wells includes the Pictish ghost of Brude McAlpin liberated from his tomb, assorted pursuing Caledonians and a bemused Prior Bede, whose monastery serves as a hiding place for the Blackgloom Bounty. Suitable for fantasy enthusiasts of all ages."

Library Journal said:
"This series opener...is a good choice for fans of epic-style sagas and Scottish history."

Harriet Klausner, Amazon's #1 Ranked Reviewer said:
"This terrific medieval fantasy...will elate readers for its fast-paced, action-thrilled story line starring a strong cast."

Nancy McCulloch, PRWEB Article:
"Two thumbs up for a colorful cast of characters, nonstop, rapid-fire action and compelling storyline!"

Fantasybookspot.com Review:
