I'm looking for 100 answers to this question if I could. An example could be that change must start at the top, but this belief may be toxic because employees assume that they can't influence the company's business model or strategy. Thus, they withhold their full engagement and passion - essential ingredients for continual organziation renewal.

Most owners that I've come across believe that the employee has no brain and therefore can't think about improvements benefiting the organization. They don't ask for nor accept any employee suggestion. Their position is, "I built the business; it's my way or the highway".

Consequently, the good employees leave and the "robots" remain, until the business implodes on itself.

my company believes in cheap labor by hiring illegals. This harms me because I spend all my time trying to figure out what esiauqe means instead of doing my job. I can't improve if I can't advance.
