The British as a unit do not have an agreed opinion. We have a diverse view of the world, there is no one opinion here. There is only Anti Bush and Anti American views among the minority, the same minority who blame an entire group for the actions of a few. Although some US policies may result in strong opinions ie: the Iraq War and the Carbon Emissions policy, that does not make us anti-bush or anti-american. It shows we are free thinking, something the Americans have based their entire culture upon. There are few here who would knock America for this :-)

Neither.

I wouldn't say I'm anti-America, because I have a few American friends. Apart from the few a**holes, which you get everywhere, Americans are good, honest people.

I wouldn't say I'm anti-Bush either because I know that Bush is just a figurehead. Once he's out of office they'll be someone else following the same agenda, only they'll be approaching things from a different angle, but their goal is just the same. Even if the next US leader is a Democrat, it'll still be the same. Republicans and Democrats are two sides of the coin, but they're still the SAME coin.

I'd consider myself anti-Neocon. All the things you see happening today, like the invasions of Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran (Yes, they WILL invade Iran, it is inevitable, all they need is a 911-type event as an excuse), the introduction of the Patriot Act, the errosion of human rights, they are all part of the Neocon agenda to create a one world government.

I'm guessing you are American? Right or Wrong?
People see the country as their government, which is why people take being anti-Bush to anti-American. I'm not anti-American, but am against the decisions made by Bush and his government.

I don't know about the British, but my extended family lives in Germany. They are "anti-Bush" because they know that not all Americans feel the same way he does.

By 'better', I assume you mean less offensive.

Well the most obvious point is that being 'anti-Bush' directly offends one person, while being 'anti-American' offends all of America.

Another point is that anti-Americanism is prejudice but to be anti-Bush is based on reality: his policies etc.
