Anna is a very traditional name. If that is what you are going for, then it's fine. I am always of the opinion that you should look at the baby before choosing a name. Maybe she won't look like an Anna, maybe she would look more like an Emma or Mary - who knows?

Anna is beautiful. So long as you can handle that she will be called Anna - Banana for much of her life, no troubles. Its good for a little girl and an old lady. Dignified and elegnat.

Ugh no it's way too common. If you want to be able to use "anna" as the name, something like Annabelle, or Annae, or a name unique like that would be better.

I don't really care for it the way most Americans say it but I do love it when the Europeans say it, it sounds like it means more to them.
