They're just different generations of the premium. The first premium that came out didn't have HDMI port. Then about 2 years later, MS decided to include HDMI output on the 20 gb premium. The 60 gb is just the same as the 20 gb premium with HDMI output except it has a bigger hard drive. It might also contain the Jasper chip (not confirmed), which should help to further reduce the chance of the 360 getting the ring of death. The 60 gb is better since it's cheaper, and you get a bigger hard drive.

The $299 one doesn't have a hard drive. The $400 one comes with the hard drive, wireless controller, wireless headset and Xbox Live Silver membership.

The 399 premium xbox includes a hard drive (for saves/xbox live) a head set a 6-foot ethernet cord and a wireless controler also it has a crome disc drive.
the 299 basic 360 only has a wired controler (no hard drive ect...)
Buy the 399 one, if you buy the basic 360 and the hard drive it already costs more the the premium one

The biggest difference is you get the hard drive in the $400 model. The hard drive will allow you to play Xbox Live, old Xbox games and save games. The other differences are minor, such as better cables.

The more expensive one comes with the hard drive and the high def cables, if ya have the money get the 400 one...because it'll save you a few bucks, i bought the cheap one and it ended up more
