Certainly not all dreams, but I think there is too much "coincidence" to believe that they are never real. As to entry into the other side, I think that does happen, but not only in dreams. I have had some very uncanny experiences when nominally awake, too. (Good drugs back in my hippie days; meditation and religious experience more recently.)

Dreams are not for real, they are simply random thoughts that you want to get rid of, and you do that through dreaming. Dreams have nothing to do with real life.
