What Is Vertigo?
Vertigo is not a disease in itself, but rather a symptom that can have any number of causes. The famous Alfred Hitchcock film notwithstanding, a fear of heights is not normally one of them. Vertigo is defined in Webster's dictionary as a feeling "in which the external world seems to revolve around the individual or in which the individual seems to revolve in space."2 Occurring without warning, it comes and goes unpredictably and is often accompanied by nausea, vomiting and problems with equilibrium. Mild episodes may feel more like a rocking sensation or mere light-headedness.
Common Causes of Vertigo
Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), the kind that was mistaken for Meniere's Disease in the above example, is one of the most common types of vertigo. It has many causes, not all of which are well understood. The most popular current theory is that it is usually caused by free-floating calcium carbonate crystals in an area of the inner ear called the posterior semicircular canal, which is part of the vestibular system.
The vestibular system, located in and around the ear, is responsible for integrating what we see, hear and feel with head and body movement. In short, it controls our body's sense of equilibrium. More specifically, the vestibular system works by monitoring head movement and then sending this information to organs inside the ear, which then relay the information to the brain.
Our ears play an essential part in this process. The inner ear contains an area called the labyrinth, in which are found three semicircular canals; these canals are surrounded by a special fluid. The canals' function is to transmit information about head movement to the vestibular nerve. This nerve passes the information along to the areas of the brain that control bodily coordination.
People with BPPV feel lightheaded. The lightheadedness is is often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, sweating and a skin pallor. It usually comes on suddenly and goes away in less than 30 seconds.
BPPV can be brought on by a sudden change in body position, such as turning over in bed or getting in and out of bed. Many people have only a single passing bout of BPPV but, for some, BPPV returns unexpectedly.

So eating a healthy diet is obvious but not obvious enough to do it. You should eat an amazing diet, drink plenty of water, exercise every day and have a look at Graviola. Its a rainforest plant that the drug companies tried to grab as their own - they have done loads of research on it and it apparently destroys cancer cells whilst leaving other tissue unharmed. If you do a search there is some really interesting research available to have a look at. Also would be worth having a course of colonics and taking a course of probiotic supplements to boost your immune function and improve bowel health. You should also add some superfoods into your diet like Chlorella. And Goji berries would benefit your bowels (where a large part of your immune system is resident).

Old folks have more problems digesting food. They aren't the eating machines that they use to be when they were teens and 20's. As people grow old the digestive system doesn't make as much of the fluids for digesting food. This will adversely effect the health. If this person is eating lots of fried foods then the result will be indigestion. Help this person learn about eating raw foods, nuts, seeds, grains. Buy them a juices and teach them how to use it. Digestive aids like hydrochloric acid, enzymes and acidophilus will help the weak digestive tract. These things will require a slight change in eating. Will your dad accept these changes? Its up to you to try.

Thre are receips of Chinese clear soups -"tangs" that contain chicken or beef meat , some carrots, a small portion of wine-/rice wine in original receips ,wild thyme -put first in the water for cooking/and are cooked very slowly /not less than 4 hours ,some -up to 28 days-it is curious for other peoples, but in China medicine the food is equal to the medicines by significance for the health/ and these "tangs" are supposed to absorb a lot of "chi" energy to give it to the patient for energising him.
In any case good clear soups / may with yolk in them/ help convalescence.

A product called bio-strath would be excellent:
combats fatigue
improves concentration
builds up resistance
increases physical and mental efficiency
promotes vitality
helps during convalescence
stimulates appetite

and even though it should be fine to take with medications because it is 100% natural you should check with a pharmacist to make sure you can take it in conjunction with the meds.
