Florian - Florida, Tangue - tongue, tampon, Tampa, Gay, Jean-Baptiste - (John the Baptist, really, its a holiday where I live) I won't even begin on that one, Johan - Joanna, Bach, One-Hand, Bastiien - Basting, basking... That is just English things I can think of. I live in Quebec, french catholic capital of the world where some of these names are common, and I've still seen kids getting teased.

Personally I think Bastien is a really nice name, but these names are easy to make fun off. I wouldn't use them myself. Sorry.

I really like the name Johan (Yohan) Jean-Baptiste reminds me of a lady I knew that was her last name and Bastien is that short for Sebastien? if so its not to bad but Florian reminds me of Florida and flowers. Ohh i forgot Tangue I don't know how to pronounce it so that doesn't help me any but it looks to much like tongue.

My brother's name is Florian. It's a very common German name!!
Johan is a old fashioned German name.
Bastien is a modern German name.
Jean-Baptiste sounds Italien
Tangue, i have never heard of, but it does sound a lot like it's Scandinavian.

I don't like any of them, to be honest.
Florian is ok, because i've heard it so many times.
Bastien is ok, too.
Johan is too old-fashioned for me and
Tangue and Jean-Baptiste are just too weird for me.

I know how to pronounce all of them but it's hard to put it into words....

Well. Seeing that they live in Europe, I can understand!

Florian reminds me of Fabio!!! Not really masculine sounding!
Tangue doesn't even sound or look like a name. Sounds like a starburst name!
Jean Baptiste it ok, being Eourpean........it has a little kick to it, although I wouldn't spell Jean 'Jean', I would spell it Gene!
Johan.......there's nothing to it! Is it pronounced Jo-Hahn?
If so, IDK! Depends on the middle name..
Bastien sounds like a diesease! Sorry!

Florian sounds too feminine because it reminds me of Flora. I don't like Tangue because it sounds like "tongue." Bastien sounds too much like "b@st@rd." (I had to type the a's as @'s so Yahoo wouldn't censor it out.)

Jean-Baptiste and Johan are nice names.

The only one I like out of those 5 is Johan. And I don't even like that name very much!

I feel sorry for your nephews, but if those names are popular in England, then I have nothing to feel sorry for!

I like all the names to be honest because I heard them before. Also because I know some people with these names. What country do your nephews live in?

I don't care for them, really but being european and I'm assuming on the continent, thet fit some better.

The most common prounciations are:

Florian =Flooryun
Tangue=Tongay or Tanjy (More likely the first)
Jean-Baptiste= Zuawn Bawteest or Bawpteest Could have a sound at end too
Johan=Yohawn
Bastien=Bastyun

Again, most common, but could be other ways too.

Hope this helps ya!
