I bet you're a woman of slight build and you're following your doctor's advice about food intake and stuff, right?
Talk to your doc. If he/she isn't concerned, I wouldn't be.
Betcha Sis will hate you when she's dealing with post delivery Mommy fat and you're not.
Keep on doing what you're doing, if the doc has no concerns :)
Congrats.

Your baby isnt even 5 ounces and just about 5 inches long, you shouldnt be big at all. Ive had 3 babies and at 41/2 months i had just a teeny bump, looked like I was bloated. At 5 1/2 months I staretd really showing like I was actually pregnant. Maybe your eating better and she's giving into every craving to its extreme. Worry about your u/s and how the heartbeat sounds, not your weight. The bulk of the weight will start to be gained at about 7 months and youll get huge enough from there. With my third at 9 months I looked like I was 5(according to other people) but that was because I was all baby and I myself wasnt gaining anything extra, just the baby. 27 pounds are accounted for with baby, placenta, fluid, ect. Anything over that is YOU gaining weight that youll keep after having baby.

no nothing is wrong, a little bump is perfectly normal. YOur sister-in-law is a whole month ahead of you, you'll be amazed at the growth and changes that happen in just a few weeks. Even if you're not showing at 5 months dont be worried, everyone is different. YOu'll probably pop out around your 6th month, practically overnight! BEst of luck.

absolutely not. I am 8 months and people are finally asking how far along...but if I wear black then people still just think I have a beer belly. Just the other day I was asked if I had eaten too much when my pants weren't buttoned all the way! The doctor said that the baby is actually bigger than normal so I know that he is fine. My mother was the same way. Everyone carries differently!

My daughter just had a baby in August. She had a little tiny belly right up until the delivery...when the baby was born she was beautiful and healthy!! The only difference between my daughter and most women is that she came out of the hospital six days later with washboard abs......An average baby weights seven and a half to eight pounds. There is absolutely no need to gain anything more than 25lbs....those women who have huge bellies, don't have bigger or healthier babies, it's just unnecessary fat, so be happy you may not have to deal with losing weight after your baby is born!!

I am almost 5 months, 19 weeks today and I am not showing yet either. I am 5'8" and have very athletic, so my doc said depending on your body size, some woman pop early and some take a very long time. There is nothing wrong, as long as your doc says everything is OK, you are OK!!

no every woman body is different from one another. no one noes for sure how big they will be. your only 4 1/2 months give it some time who knows you might have a bigger baby then your sister-in-law.

Everyone is different. Your baby could be smaller, your baby could be more in your back and you could just be waiting to pop out. My SIL and I were pregnant at the same time too, she was tiny in the beginning and I was huge, in the end we were about the same size. Just enjoy it now, when you get big...you will wish you were still tiny!
