Really a great question! We as a society think nothing of seeing a straight couple swapping spit, but let two same sex people, especially two guys, kiss in public, and the looks of disgust are everywhere. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all see a kiss, no matter who it's between, as an act of love and acceptance?

I think there are more serious issues at hand that what a couple be it hetero or homo decide to do in the public. I mean there are so many people right now fighting for equal rights for everyone and the one thing some people focus on is kissing in public? I mean come on thats like me saying should gays be allowed to hold hands in public? It doesnt matter because the issue is not neccessary.

No, definitely not. Straight people kissing in public is an abomination and only shows how far society has decayed. This type of depraved action is the cause for the erosion of traditional family values and the breakdown and moral bankruptcy of society. All straight people who do this should be banished to a deserted island.
hehe - well not quite, but maybe they need to be way more accepting of non-straight people kissing in public; after all what's fair for the goose is fair for the gander and us ganders wanna suck face too don't we. hehe

Don't watch.
If I don't wish to see people performing certain natural actions, I simply don't watch.
I'd loathe the notion that someone would believe in restricting normal human behaviour this way. I can understand restricting sex in public-but only just. Kissing be restricted-don't be such a jerk.
You don't make an arguement at all, you demonstrate high prissiness.
(or perhaps you caught me in a tongue in cheek question? )
(Haha, someone didn't like the idea that I prefer freedom of expression over restriction and some kinda moral thingy. Oh well can't win 'em all, gotta have nannies I suppose. Boring.)
Jesus, there are some serious flawed uptight folks around ain't they? Perhaps we should shuck the clothes (in warmer times of the year) and get rid of these dumbass inhibitions that do not make the world a better place! Loosen up you LOT!

Yup I much prefer the sight of two men kissing in public. Seriously I am not really into public displays of affection --at least not to an extreme point. They seem to be very insecure people who behave like that.

Straight, gay, or otherwise, nothing wrong with a little kiss in public. I wouldn't want to see massive lip-locks and groping either, but showing a little affection makes the world a better place.

Straights kissing in public offend me too. I see this frequently early in the morning (when I'm not in my best mood) on my way to work. I have to look away because I get an unsettling feeling in the pit of my stomach. We have rights too and shouldn't have that kind of display shoved in our faces. With that in mind I say no, heteros should not be allowed to kiss in public.

I know what you mean. I think any kind of kissing (gay or straight) should be done in the privacy of your own home. Nobody wants to see that. Is there no modesty today?

I don't really want to watch anyone playing tonsil hockey, don't care what the sex of the people kissing is. But then, I'm not offended by anyone giving a short kiss hello or goodbye, or holding hands or casually rubbing someone's back or even a really obviously deeply felt hug.
Same sex, different sex, don't care. I just don't want to watch anyone making out. LOL Excessive public displays of affection are something I'm not fond of watching, or participating in.
