iTunes just installed and i plugged in the iPod and it says do not disconnect......so can i go ahead and sync songs or do i have to wait for it to complete charging...its a nano

You can go ahead and sync the songs if its recognized by the computer, The only reason it says do not disconnect is so you select eject when you right click the nano on the screen

Creat your playlist, and sync / update the player.

Charging is automatic, and a convenient feature of the software...the "Do Not Disconnect" message is because itunes is set to auto-sync your playlist.

Under "options", you see that the first option on the "General" tab is chosen by default, "synchronize all files automatucally"...and that's what the player is doing first when you plug it in.

the ipod charges automatically whenever you plug it in to the computer. you can sync the songs. the do not disconnect means that you shouldnt take the ipod off of the usb thing without ejecting it first

Create your play-list, and sync the songs to the player. good luck also when you sync do not unplug the player till about 10-15 sec. after you sync the songs.

you can sync songs while it charging, i recently bought a iPod and dowanloaded the songs while it was charging.
