I'm not very good at using computer. When trying to download 375 photos onto a cd ,computer seems to say too many won't fit. It sort of says lessen the amount to be put on CD. I thought that I could download as many as possible and then use another CD but it won't let me download ANYTHING. What to do? Using Windows XP, and CD-R 700MB. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I'm not sure if you're using burning software (like Roxio or Nero) or if you're using the built-in function of Windows XP, but you need to determine the size you're trying to squeeze on there.

If you do have Roxio or Nero, there will be a slider at the bottom that shows you how much space you're using up as you add files. If you don't have something like that, go to the location of your pictures. You can select quite a few at a time by clicking on the first one to highlight it. Then scroll down halfway. Hold your shift key as you click another one. By doing this, you will select all the pictures in between and will see them all highlighted. Now right-click on one of the highlighted ones and go to Properties. You'll see the "size".

You should be able to determine the best way to split them up by doing that. Good luck!

You can buy programs that will let you do this but it is easier to just cut down the amount of files that you try to download at one time. Or if your hard drive has space, download them to it and then put them on CD until each CD is full.

Most CD-writing software will require you to specify exactly which files are going to be placed onto a CD. They won't let you simply burn the maximum capacity, then continue with a second disc.
