High latitude is the part of the earth near the North Pole and South Pole. The US has a High Latitude Monitoring Station which is located near Anchorage, Alaska, and it monitors the Ionosphere.

Latitude, of course, is a location above(north) or below (south) the Equator. High Latitude usually refers to the area in the Arctic Circle or Antartic Circle.

Must be the North and The South Pole areas (being the latitude the distance from Equator). Both Poles have 90° Latitude and these areas are called North High Latitude and South High Latitude.
