go to www.rightmove.co.uk or www.primelocation.com. You just fill out the details of what you are looking for and the area you are looking in and it searches the local estate agents for propertys. Good Luck!

Your local paper, estate agents who specialise in lettings, but they will charge a higher rent. Look for student accommodation if you have a university near.
Then look here for properties to rent by property searches online.
Ask your friends and people from work, neighbours, pub or club and you might put an advert in your local supermarket or newsagent for a room locally

go www.gumtree.com, buy the loot or look on www.loot.co.uk and check with estate agents if u want to pay admin fees!

you should go to Craigslist.com I find it very helpful when I'm looking for a new apartment.
