One of the funniest films ever. Definitely in my top ten. Didnt know Mel Gibson was doing a remake, no way could it be as good as the original.

I disagree that they were equally funny, I found HG to be a lot funnier, but LOB to be a lot deeper. As an atheist I appreciate Life of Brian the most I think.

I love the 1979 version I love Monty Phython. Here it's on at 9 on channel 4. It may be blasphetheous but the Monty phython team done great work.

mel's has more whipping...and it also features the subtitle "he's not the messiah"-no way is that a coincidence-prob british bloke doing the subs -would be lost on mel
