Also what size and above do you consider fat?

Well, the average waist size for American Women is 36.5 inches, which could be a size 12-18 depending on the manufacturer.
As far as the 2nd question, I think any size over what most women are wearing would be fat, yet I dont see it as a bad word. If I say I'm fat because I wear a size 18, then I'm not degrading myself or begging for attention, I'm just using an adjective to describe my size. Why does fat have to be a bad word? And why do all these weight questions apply to women and not to men? Hmm..just wondering.

In America the average woman is overweight. IMO,judging by my own height and weight,which is 5ft3, I would say a size 7 is chubby,a size 12 fat. According to my BMI if I weighed 140 Id be considered overweight and that would be a size 8 or so.
Im not saying fat is unattractive but it is unhealthy is many ways. But we also have to consider that some ppl have a bigger structure and then all this would be different,bc a bigger frame will never be a size 2 but still look great!

In Europe, Medium Size is about a size 6 in the US. That is also a 38 (Italian numbers) or 28-29 (jean size in mexican sizing).
I don't think that size is neccesarily an indication of how fat a person is, because people have different body types.
When people see you and put the "fat" tag on you i don't think it is by the size of your clothing, but how well you are proportioned.
My mom is a size 42, and i am a size 38 - and i'm not fat, but nor is she.

On averge for women, it's a size fourteen. For juniors, it's a size eight.
I think size sixteen and on is considered plus sized.
