It's section 2,(from the pages) question 5 in the Daily Mail book quiz(28/12/06) .What is being described, 'Blank is the place that dare not speak its name. Those who went there are careful not to use blank letter word. Instead they tactfully talk about school. An old boys book about which institution.

I would guess Wormwood Scrubs, since it is a prison, that Amnesty International is complaining about.

The 'blank' letter word bit is the giveaway- It must be 'four' so it must be Eton. Old Etonians do seem a little reticent about which 'old school' they went to so it does fit.
I have known a number of people who have been in 'the Scrubs' and no other euphemism is used so far as I know for that institution.
