When you trust each other and feel comfortable enough to share most of the things in your life. Happiness is a huge factor, however, everybody interprets happiness in their own way. You should feel unrestricted in a good marriage. If you go out with your friends without the partner and both you and him (her) feel comfortable and content about it- it's a good relationship. Then you come home and share what happened during your outing and you can both laugh about it together.

You back eachother up through thick and through thin...you agree on the important stuff but still feel comfortable stating your opinion...you do what you need to, to secure eachother's safety... which ever one of you works (In a marriage somebody MUST to work) the other will be sure to be prepared to listen about their long hard day...if any of you stay at home the other one will not put you down to make themselves feel like they have a more important job in the relationship...and even if you fight you always make up with a good night kiss.
You practically comfort and do what's best for eachother's wants and needs, and if someone disagrees somebody is gonna have to speak up and apoligize if it it wasn't their wrong doing!

A good marriage is where two people can communicate with each other and respect the other person, and actually enjoy being in the company of that person knowing that they will want to spend the rest of their life with that person.

It depends on what you want
Some people for money
Others marry to raise a family
Others marry for love
Some marry for security
Some because of parents
In the best marriages people marry for two or more of those reasons. Because money goes away, children grow up, and love always evaporates.

Compromise. Give and take. A willingness to be flexible. There will be times when one partner needs the most support from the other....such has illness, job loss, etc. Be ready and willing to give your all in those times. Always work together to solve problems, not against each other.

A good marriage starts by NOT comparing yours to anyone else's. We are all different and have different needs, expectations, and tolerances. So evaluate whether your emotional & physical needs are being met. Good Luck

mine!! I am extremely in love and happy. A good marriage isnt all happy or all hateful. you have to have a good mixture of fun and fighting to make it work.
